Grade 3 Teacher
After growing up in the suburbs of Pittsburgh and earning a degree in the field of social welfare, Linda and her husband found themselves drawn to the rural beauty of the Ligonier Valley. While living here, Linda worked with her husband to develop his career as a sculptor and raise their two children, both of whom graduated from Valley School of Ligonier. Working with her own children inspired Linda to pursue elementary teaching certification. She began teaching at Valley in 1997 as a long-term substitute and has felt fortunate to teach here ever since. Although most of her time at Valley School has been spent teaching third grade, she also enjoyed teaching second-grade math for many years.
When not teaching, Linda enjoys spending time outdoors canoeing and camping, hiking and backpacking, gardening, bird watching, and traveling across the country to visit grandchildren.
