Denise Danko

“One of my treasured memories of Valley School is the first time I came to campus and was surrounded by its beauty! It truly is magical! Even after so many years here, I often stop what I’m doing and take a moment to step outside just to be a part of it!”

Denise Danko started her teaching career in a small rural school in Youngstown, Pennsylvania. Her passion for teaching led her to Valley School of Ligonier where she became the Reading Specialist. “I have always loved teaching, and my choice to be in a small school setting was deliberate. I love being a part of our family atmosphere, which enables me to give my students what they need, when they need it.” Denise received a master’s degree in the 90s and has continued her studies through professional development opportunities in Boston, California, Virginia, Washington, DC, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania.

 

Denise spends her free time hosting international graduate students from Carnegie Mellon University and traveling with her husband, Michael. Upcoming destinations include California’s Redwood Forest and their daughter’s home in Maine.
