Sandra Kantor

“I feel blessed to be at Valley School where I have the opportunity to spend time every day with children who are growing and flourishing as their most authentic selves in our supportive community and beautiful natural environment.”  

A native of Bogotá, Colombia, I attended the Colombian School of Medicine and graduated with a DDM (Doctor of Dental Medicine). During my Internship in the Amazon region, I met my husband, Tom. When I came to the United States, we reconnected and were married a year later. 

 

Although moving further away from dentistry as a stay-at-home mother, I decided to obtain my teacher certification in science and Spanish from St. Vincent College. In 2020, I had the incredible opportunity to join Valley school of Ligonier, where I cherish my students for the qualities that make them unique. One of my greatest joys is sharing my culture, language, and love of world travel with my young learners. Their creativity is contagious.

 

I am a church volunteer, and I enjoy walking, Zumba, reading, spending time with family and friends, and traveling to different countries. I am lifelong learner who appreciates opportunities to find new and innovative ways to engage my students.
