Terri Stewart

School Counselor

Terri Stewart grew up in the outskirts of Houston, TX. After graduating from Brenham High School, she joined the US Marine Corp as a radio communications operator. Upon completing her military obligations, she discovered her passion for teaching. Terri earned her Associate of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees from Campbell University and her teaching certification and Master of Science (Counseling) degree from University of Houston, Clear Lake.
 
Terri worked as an elementary and junior high teacher in Texas before she became a school counselor. The transition was her response to the hardships regional families faced in the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Ike. Terri joined Valley School as a school counselor in 2022, and relishes the opportunity to help students and their families overcome challenges.
 
During the summer months and weekends, Terri enjoys kayaking, canoeing, camping, reading, and otherwise enjoying the outdoors. She spends time with her friends, family, and grandchildren when they come to visit her from Houston.
