Shahpore Khalifeh

“I love working at Valley School because of the welcoming community provided by everyone. As a first-year teacher last year, I felt as if I was at Valley School for many years. The admin, the staff, and students are amazing and they all have brought me in with open arms.”

Shahpore (“Coach K”) is originally from Missouri. He attended college and played wide receiver at Henderson State University (Arkansas). In his final year, he transferred to Northeastern State University (Oklahoma) to complete his Kinesiology degree. After completing his teaching internship in California, he decided to stay. 

 

During the ten years that Shahpore was in Los Angeles, he taught physical education in an independent school, and public middle and high schools. He also coached football and track and field, and was a Varsity Defensive Backs coach and Head Track and Field Coach. 

 

After marrying in December of 2020, Shahpore and his wife, Blanca, moved to Pennsylvania to be closer to family. Shahpore loves teaching physical education, as it provides a great way to stay active while a making positive impact on students. He is also loving being a first-time dad. He looks forward to spending time with his family, and showing his son all that the world has to offer.
