School Nurse
I always knew I wanted to be a nurse. I attended nursing school at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, and graduated in 1978. I also love teaching. Imparting knowledge to others makes me smile—especially when I see evidence of something I’ve taught being used.
I spent many years working in Home Health Care and in a physician’s office, while teaching at the community college. I have been at Valley School for six years, and have enjoyed each year fully! Valley School is a special place. I look forward to crossing the bridge and seeing the students’ shining faces. Some of my favorite responsibilities are Wellness Wednesdays, my portion of the weekly Newsletters, and the bulletin board in my room, but the very best aspect of my work is making children feel better, seeing them smile, hearing their stories, and spending time with them when they visit the Nurse’s Office.
